Mr. Leatherman received a full scholarship to study piano performance at the NC School of the Arts. He later coached with world renown pianist Alexander Peskanov. His students perform consistently in recitals, festivals, workshops, scoring high honors and winning various competitions. Mr. Leatherman has a degree in Education.
The piano instructor is Chad Leatherman. He was born and raised in NC. He started piano lessons at the age of 12. He performed and competed throughout high school. He began teaching piano lessons and became a church music director his senior year of high school. He is the founder of the Foothills Piano Forum.
In person lessons will be taken at my home studio in Newton, NC. It features two Young Chang grand pianos. We also have studio classes several times a year where students have the opportunity to play for each other.
